I've had the honor of speaking with michael Coleman about his experiance at lake Mead. Coleman and Lassange drove out together early to have time for prefising. 8 days on lake Mead really helped Coleman adapt to the lake and elements. Starting on Day 1 Coleman drew Sean Minderman. Water tempeature 65 degrees and grew on a daily bases with blue bird skys getting up to 68 degrees. The wind came up only in the afternoon 10 to 15 mph all three days. Visability 10 to 15 ft in most areas other dirty. Michael Colemans boater Sean bed fished all day why Coleman fan casted catching staging and cruising fish. Throwing drop shot and hollow grups was Colemans key. Coming to the scale on day one with 4.90 pounds. Remember its only three fish limit for non boaters putting Coleman in 57th place going into day 2.They fished mostly in the Overton arm good majority of the day.
Day 2 was apoun Coleman drawing David Nugle Boater. Davids Key spots he found fishing was just out of the narrows bed fishing also. Coleman repeated day 1 techniques moving him into 17th place with 8.90 pounds. Barley making the cut for him to advance to day 3. When speaking to Mr. Coleman he sounded very excited and proud he made it into day three of the B.A.S.S Federation. Going into day 3 the weather changed it rained a good majority of the day which dirtyed up the water. Colemans boated with Jesse Milicevic fishing narrows and arms looking for and catching bed fish. Coleman again throwing out drop shot and hollow grups. Fan casting the areas why Jeese bed fished. Bringing to the scale 7.1 pounds good enough for 10th place which Coleman becoming your 2016 Califorina Federation Champion. Congradulation Michael Coleman time on the water pays off man way to go
